THREE PLAINS ARTISTS - THREE VIEWS Alliance Nebraska
The beautiful, huge show featuring Sheila Orr, John Dosch and Gloria Fredricks is hosted by the Carnegie Center for the Arts in Alliance, Nebraska! The Opening Reception was highly successful with Sheila Orr present.
The theme of the show centered around life on the Plains, Plains bella Vistas, and the artists unique view of the plains. Gloria Fredricks is a Plein Aire Artist who specializes in landscapes, John Dosch is famous for his mixed media, and Sheila Orr, well known Nebraskan artist specializes in acrylics. Orr is currently commissioned for the 125th Anniversary of Chadron, Nebraska painting commemorating the event! Look for prints of this fantastic painting to be at this website soon!

Fargo - ECCE Art Show concludes with success!
The show was beautiful with several of the Northern Plains Artists showing new works of art!
John Dosch has been asked to be a Resident Artist at ECCE, a beautiful contemporary Gallery!
Just down the street at REED & TAYLOR, Gloria Fredricks is in residence with her plein aire and studio Oil Landscapes, Lakescapes, and Cityscapes!

I would like to announce a Plein Air Paint out at Falls Park in Sioux Falls, SD. This was the location of one of our very first events and offers quite a variety.

FORMER SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND, SD Renovation! Artshow and Gallery! July 3rd through the 5th Plein Aire Paint Out!
The Northern Plains Artists have entered into a one year contract with the Buffalo Ridge Conference Center to provide art for the Gallery as well as host workshops, artshows and artists retreats!
This AMAZING Facility offers an Hotel, Ballroom for Weddings or Receptions, Hunter and Fisherman Retreats, Business Retreats, Catering Services, and more! It is in a beautiful setting with a newly refurbished Lake, new Campground, that offers artists an art haven!
Gary, South Dakota offers this incredible facilty that is being refurbished. Join the festivities that include helicopter rides, rodeo, parades, musicians, plein aire artists, an art show with the NPA and other local artists, good food, and more!

Watertown Art & Craft Festival-Downtown, Events of all Sorts Held 13th June!
"A great success" are the words for this well-organized event thanks to Becca, the Watertown Downtown Business Association Manager and the volunteers who really put together a great festival. There were lots of activities attended by a great many people. The artists were out and while it was a bit windy at times, and the Quick Draw Events ended too quickly, it was great fun! The plans are already in place to ensure workshops and additional plein aire artists are brought in to participate!

HALSEY, Nebraska! Autumn Art Workshop! SEPTEMBER
Once again, artists will be traveling to Halsey, Nebraska for this fine Event where Four Quality Instructors shall be teaching a 3 and 5 day workshop!

The workshop is held at the 4-H camp in the Nebraska State Forest. The attendees stay in cabins and all the meals are furnished. It is a total immersion into art with over 100 people at the event! Artists from around the country converge and share!

Congratulations to John Dosch, owner/Artist New Moon Studio
The Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee honored New Moon Studio with a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 15,
2008 and presented John with the First Dollar of Profit Plaque.
Located at 156 15th St. NE, New Moon specializes in custom and original artwork. John Dosch creates a unique relief portrait
from your favorite photo or from one taken by the artist. Relief portraits are cast in durable polyester resin and finished in a stunning
copper or bronze finish. Portraits are also availble in pencil, charcoal or acrylic paint. John also creates one-of-a-kind art for business
and home decoration and personal collection.
